What’s the point of having a website if you don’t redesign it once in a while?
I never was really satisfied with the last look. I like minimalist, but that was bad minimalist. In my opinion, this is a vast improvement.
There were several inspirations for the new look:
- Layout: Paul Scrivens
- Color Harmony: Dan Cederholm
- Comments: Douglas Bowman
You know what they say…steal from the best. Except Scrivs - he’d bristle at being called one of the best ;).
The major changes are complete and the site is usable - the remaining touches will be added over the coming weeks and shouldn’t be disruptive.
I know this looks fine in Mozilla-based browsers and IE6 - both for Windows. I’ll eventually get around to checkin git in Opera, but Mac users will have to yell at me. NN4 users are probably cursing me, but I’ll hide the styles from them soon. IE5? Crossing my fingers.
