Evil Genius

Scott Kurtz, of PVP fame recently talked about the Evil Genius demo. I promptly downloaded it to give it a try since it sounded cool. Playing the foil to the secret agents is a neat idea.

Verdict: pretty cool. My only beef is assigning tasks is a bit awkward. You left-click to activate characters, but right-click on the spot you want them to move to, or the object you want them to manipulate. Left-clicking in both instances seems more intuitive. But, that’s a fairly small quibble. I expect this game to be hot.

Good News for Gambling Historians

It looks like the venerable Binion’s Horshoe Casino in Las Vegas is going to be purchased and reopened in time for the 2004 World Series of Poker. Great news for poker players and anyone interested in a taste of what “old” Las Vegas was like.

Interview

After all this time, I finally had a taker on the interview questions. Here are my 5 for Harriet Lime:

  1. Where do you go when you want to be somewhere (not home) where everyone knows your name (and why)?
  2. What makes something look beautiful even when it’s in your least favorite color?
  3. Why is the sky blue?
  4. What does your ideal house look like?
  5. What makes the Santa Cruz sunrise so special?

Classy

Since I’m still in a lowbrow mood, here’s a mini-game that got passed around at work. May be funny to some.
