It’s hard for me to believe 2006 is almost out the door already. Between being extremely busy at work and letting my various hobbies pull at me, I didn’t get much “accomplished” this year.
A bright spot - even though I stopped logging the books I read in July, I’ve comfortably met my unspoken goal of averaging a book a week this year. 2007 will be off to a good start - between what I already have checked out of the library and what I plan to take with me on my cruise, I expect to have 8 books wrapped up by February 3rd.
I’m still as heavy as I was this time a year ago. My implementation of GTD is in place, but suboptimally followed. I had to cross a picket line for 7 weeks.
I enjoy spending time with my kids. My bowling average is up. We had a great visit from my parents for 9 days over Christmas.
Yep - things are good.
Yesterday Christopher and I took a Father-Son trip. We drove about an hour north to Osceola, Wisconsin, home of the Osceola & St. Croix Valley Railway. We’ve been wanting to take him for a ride for a while since he loves playing with his train set at home.

Needless to say, he was delighted.

Announcing the birth of Alessandra Quinn earlier today. Mom and daughter are healthy and resting fine.

- Christopher’s Birthday
So, we added another event today, as Christopher now has a new cousin. It was so cute - at the hospital Christopher wanted to hold the baby the entire time, getting upset whenever he was taken away. That bodes well for this December when he gets his sibling.
For several years I have participated in the Relay for Life, which is the American Cancer Society’s largest fundraiser. This year, my local event is May 14-15.
This year, as a fund raising stunt incentive, I am walking the entire 22 hours of the event. If you are interested in supporting my lunacy a great cause, please send me a check made out to the American Cancer Society. If you don’t have my physical address, leave a comment and I’ll send you an email, or you can email me directly.
Thanks!
