We participate in a local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm and today was the first produce of the year. Fresh Earth Farms is only about 5 miles away from our house, and we get roughly 18 weeks of the freshest, yummiest, some-stuff-I’d-never-heard-of-yet-alone-thought-of-buying-est produce I’ve ever had.
This week I brought home:
- 2 heads of lettuce
- 2 heads of broccoli
- 2 kohlrabi
- 1 bunch of green onions with huge bulbs
- 1 bunch of green garlic
The broccoli and kohlrabi are destined to be roasted in the oven; the garlic and onions will go into stir frys, and it looks like I’ll have a salad or 10 too.

The Binary By Accident blog has died after 7-1/2 years. That’s a bit misleading – it was only being actively posted to for about 1/3 of that time. So, this site has been reinvented as a personal portal. My intent is for this to be the home base for my presence across the Web, be it Delicious, Twitter, Flickr, or whatever else comes down the line in the future.
Falling victim to all this is the whole slew of posts from the old blog. If I can ever figure out the URL-rewriting rules, I’ll repost everything as static files, but until then, I’m uncool.
